About My Mother
For those of you who don't know (though most everyone who would be coming to this site already knows), my mother was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor about 2 1/2 years ago. The type of tumor she was diagnosed with is a particularly aggressive one (called glioblastoma multiforme). My mom has to be about the strongest person I know of. She's gone through 2 surgeries since diagnosis and a summer of chemotherapy in Philadelphia. She's done several different clinical trials (the first of which stopped the tumor's growth for a year, which was a spectacular miracle), and has been through just about every form of Hell I can think of. There's not much more that I can think of that would be appropriate to say, so I'll leave it at that. Thanks to everyone for their support, and I'll keep you all updated. Update: 10/13/2002... My mom passed away on Tuesday, October 8th 2002. She was totally peaceful through the end. Thanks again to everyone. -Noah

Way for Tears to Dry
I know it’s hard to be left on earth
without an answer
To find no answer to the question why
I wish that we could know sooner
As we look into what we think is an unfeeling sky
We feel so alone trusting only ourselves
Yet we want some way for our tears to dry
“I know my Redeemer lives”
and soon he will come through the sky
We have our proof that He is there
Straight from Himself, yet we hardened our hearts in stubborn pride
And nailed Him to a tree.
His promise and truths will shine through
And we will see those blessings shower
“The bud may have a bitter taste,
but sweet will be the flower.”
And so I shall sing
Of that mysterious Savior
And praises will ring
And my faith shall ne’er waver
For he has shown His grace to me
And proved himself Truth
And he, will always be…there
